Opening weekend: Good Company brings back ‘Mamma Mia’

How well did last year’s rambunctious production of “Mamma Mia” do at the box office for Good Company Players? I think you get a pretty good idea when you consider that the company has brought the show back to Roger Rocka’s Dinner Theater just 10 months later.

The show has many cast members reprising their roles, including Emily Pessano as Donna and Teddy Maldonado as Sam. I welcomed them both to the January episode of “The Munro Review on CMAC.”

They talked about what it’s like to jump back into a show after such a short amount of time, what it’s like working with new cast members, and how fun it is to see the enthusiasm with which audiences embrace all those ABBA songs.

Plus, they sing the number “SOS.” Here’s the combined clip of the interview and song:

“Mamma Mia” runs through March 17. Don’t take a chance on waiting to get tickets till the very end.
