Are you an aspiring musical theater performer? The Junior Company Foundation’s upcoming theater seminar series on Saturday, May 4, still has some openings for Session One, which is free, and Session Two, which has a $30 fee. (But wait: If you’re lucky, you can win a spot in Session Two. Details below.) Session Three is sold out.

The series, which will be held at the 2nd Space Theatre, begins at 9 a.m. Session One is described by the foundation as great for students and parents. Tim Evanicki, author of “The College Audition,” will present a 90-minute seminar for students interested in pursuing degrees in theater. He will discuss the first steps needed in applying.

Session Two is set up like a mock musical theater callback. Students are asked to be prepared with 16 bars of a memorized song and also bring jazz and tap dance shoes. They will be given feedback by Kenny Green, State Directors and Choreographers Society Equity House Artistic Director. The session will close with a Q&A.

Now for the giveaway. You can win a free space in Session Two.

The contest is open only to members, donors and individual sponsors of The Munro Review. A free membership option is available. No purchase, donation or membership is necessary to enter the ticket giveaway. (Hint: But you can always ask your parents to contribute.) Tax-deductible memberships start at $5 a month, and you can make a one-time donation of as little as $3. For details on how to join, go to the Membership and Sponsorship page.
