Now streaming: the August 2019 episode of ‘The Munro Review on CMAC’

Don’t miss Episode 23 of “The Munro Review on CMAC,” which premiered Monday. It features three great stories:

• Producer Kyle Lowe and I go backstage at StageWorks Fresno’s “La Cage Aux Folles” for a look at how you make a drag queen. (Hint: It takes lots of makeup and a Double D bra.) Featured artists include Joel C. Abels, Jacob Moon, Erik Olson and Emmanuel Ceja-Guzman.

•  Four outstanding singers (Alexandra Jerinic, Linda Baird, Gabriel Manro and Ara Karapetian) from California Opera talk about the upcoming production of “Carmen” at the Tower Theatre.

•  Two local theater veterans, Emily Kearns and Anthony teNyenhuis, give a preview of Good Company’s upcoming “My Cousin Rachel” at the 2nd Space Theatre. It opens Aug. 16.

Plus, I recap some of what I covered in July and preview more events that you can look forward to in August. Here’s the episode:
