Now streaming: the September episode of ‘The Munro Review on CMAC’

Don’t miss Episode 24 of “The Munro Review on CMAC,” which premiered Monday. It features two great story packages:

• We celebrate the Fresno Art Museum’s summer-fall lineup of exhibitions with an in-studio visit from museum executive director Michele Ellis Pracy. She talks about the Council of 100 exhibition, featuring honored woman artist Heather Wilcoxon; and Carmen Hoyos and her playful installation in the museum lobby and outside garden area. Plus: We have an in-depth field report shot at the museum featuring artist Nick Potter, whose new exhibition, “Constructed Utopias,” is getting a lot of attention.

•  Selma Arts Center is promising a “Beauty and the Beast” with a slightly different sensibility than what you might be used to in other community theater productions. The show features three in-studio guests with lots to say: Emma DenBesten, who plays Beauty; Aaron Pierce, who plays the Beast; and Jessica Meredith, who plays Mrs. Potts. Plus: Meredith sings a gorgeous version of the title song.

And, I recap some of what I covered in August and preview more events that you can look forward to in September. Here’s the episode:

It’s hard to believe, but this episode is No. 24, which means that Kyle Lowe, Lisa Talley and I have been doing this series for TWO YEARS! Thank you to them and the dozens of guests, hundreds of crew members and the CMAC support staff for making it happen.
