Join me for another special Osher class series on local visual artists

There’s still time to sign up for my latest arts class that I’m teaching for Fresno State’s Osher Lifelong Learning Institute. The four-class series kicks off at 10 a.m. Thursday on Zoom.

Just like last semester, I’m teaming up with the incomparable Joyce Aiken, doyenne of the local visual arts scene. In each of the four class sessions, which are roughly spaced a month apart, we are taking an in-depth look at a noted local artist. The class includes a video studio visit and a live Zoom talk with the artist. Our first subject is Corky Normart, known for his watercolors, glass work, sculptures, and his design for the dome of the Church of the Holy Sepulchre in Jerusalem.

About Osher: The program was created for adults age 50+ who wish to continue learning and exploring for the sheer joy of it. The class is open to Osher members. (The membership fee includes admission to a series of keynote speakers, which is well worth your consideration.) You sign up for short classes like mine on an individual basis.

I’m in the process of putting my Osher videos from my spring class onto a special page on The Munro Review. Here’s the one that Joyce and I did on Clovis artist Nancy Youdelman:

Besides the first Thursday class, other sessions in the series will be held:
