What better time to become a paid member of The Munro Review?
With a paid membership, you help support professional arts journalism in the greater Fresno area. That’s why I’m embarking on my first-ever membership drive. What’s the goal? I want to reach 150 paid members by the end of 2018.
Your tax-deductible monthly memberships and donations help sustain the site. There’s no paywall, so the site is free to everyone. I believe it is important to make arts coverage as accessible as possible. Paid subscriptions and a paywall would mean fewer readers and opportunities for local arts organizations to reach wide audiences.

Instead, the site has what I call “the public radio funding model.” I ask people to sign up for monthly recurring memberships using Stripe, a secure credit card gateway, as a way to support local arts journalism. (It’s easy.) There are several levels from which to choose, including a free membership for those whose budget doesn’t allow it. You can also make a one-time donation by check or through Donorbox, which also offers a secure way to give using your credit card. All members are eligible to enter ticket giveaways.
Paid members receive an added benefit: They get the opportunity to sign up for special quarterly Members Events with me. These will include private tours of artist studios, backstage tours at local productions, musical demonstrations by prominent musicians, and other fun stuff.
All funds collected go directly toward expenses for The Munro Review and are handled through the Community Media Access Collaborative (CMAC), acting as the site’s official non-profit fiscal sponsor per IRS regulations. (CMAC also produces my monthly arts TV talk show.)
Thousands of people read the site each month, and if I can just get a fraction of them to commit to supporting it financially, I can reach that goal.
