Win tickets to Friday’s Ailey II performance at the Tower Theatre
By Donald Munro
Here is a fast and furious ticket giveaway: You can win a pair of tickets to one of the local highlights of the dance year: a performance featuring New York-based Ailey II. The highly regarded ensemble, which is being brought to town by the Lively Arts Foundation, performs 7:30 p.m. Friday, Jan. 30, at the Tower Theatre.
I’ve seen the company perform several times and am always floored by the consummate creativity and technique these highly trained dancers bring to the stage. To enter, leave a comment on this post. Deadline for entry is 10 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 29. I’ll be notifying a winner before midnight. Please make sure to check your email on Friday morning to see if you were lucky.
The contest is open to members, donors and individual sponsors of The Munro Review. Tax-deductible memberships start at $5 a month, and you can make a one-time donation of as little as $3. (Paid memberships help keep the site running, and paid members get special members-only benefits. Please consider a paid membership in support of independent, local arts journalism.) A free membership option is available. For details on how to join, go to the Membership and Sponsorship page. No purchase, donation or membership is necessary to enter the ticket giveaway.

I move like a one-legged slug and might learn something from this performance–plus the dancers are 3D (what a treat from 2D entertainment)!
