Here’s a quick giveaway exclusively for those who subscribe to my email updates through WordPress: I’m giving away a pair of tickets to Alexander Malofeev’s eagerly awaited concert at 7 p.m. Sunday, March 8, at the Fresno State Concert Hall. He performs as part of the Philip Lorenz International Keyboard Concerts series.

Malofeev is a young Russian sensation who is returning for a Keyboard encore. He’s so acclaimed that it probably won’t be too long until the Keyboard series can’t afford him — at least that’s what artistic director Andreas Werz tells me. Der Standard described him as “a world piano revolution.”  His Fresno program includes works by Grieg, Prokofiev, Scriabin and Stravinsky.
