Sunday pick: Rei Hotoda will speak at Fresno’s Unitarian Universalist Church

Folks at the Unitarian Universalist Church are excited to welcome Rei Hotoda, music director of the Fresno Philharmonic, as a guest speaker. Her talk is at 10:30 a.m. Sunday, May 29.

Hotoda’s topic is “Resilience.”

Says TMR member Lorenzo Bassman:

I’ve been trying to schedule her since it was first announced that she’d accepted the post, so five years or so. Tricky, cuz it had to be a Sunday when she was going to be in town, but not conducting a concert that afternoon. She was finally scheduled for the end of March 2020, but then everything shut down and we had to cancel. So, the date is finally upon us!

As audience members know from her small speeches from the podium, Hotoda is an inspiring speaker. It will be sure to be a treat to get to hear her for a longer chunk of time.
