Weekend pick: Celebrate KFSR’s 40th anniversary at Fulton 55 with jazz, blues and art

The celebration: KFSR, Fresno State’s much-revered student radio station, is turning 40. And there’s a party.

Time and place: 5 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 30, at Fulton 55 in downtown Fresno. (Doors open at 4:30 p.m.)

On the bill: There will be performances by the Fresno State Faculty Jazz Band and blues from Bill Clifton’s Chicken & Whiskey Band, along with cameo appearances by KFSR artists.

Plus: For visual arts fans, Robert Weibel will be on hand with a silent auction of jazz art (pictured above).

Tickets: $20 at Eventbrite.
