Looking for a family friendly Sunday afternoon? It’s FAMily Day at the Fresno Art Museum

The Fresno Art Museum is FREE today (Sunday, Dec. 10) in celebration of FAMily Day. The schedule includes a treasure hunt with prizes, a photo with Mr. and Mrs. Claus (11 a.m.-1 p.m.), art-making workshops, storytelling sessions (12:15 and 2:15 p.m.) and Me-n-Ed’s Pizza for purchase in the Sculpture Garden. The museum is open 11 a.m.-4 p.m. More details here.

Also: a reminder that the museum’s current exhibitions close Jan. 7. In case you missed it, here is my “Munro Review on CMAC” video tour of the wonderful show by Martha Casanave, the museum’s Distinguished Woman Artist of the year, selected by the Council of 100. The museum’s executive director and chief curator, Michele Ellis Pracy, gives us a fascinating guided tour. (Which is nothing like seeing the show in person, of course, but is a valiant substitute.) Hope you enjoy:
