Video: Selma Arts Center opens the local premiere of ‘Jersey Boys’

By Donald Munro

‘Jersey Boys” was a huge hit on Broadway, and now it’s finally made its way to local theaters. Selma Arts Center was able to nab the rights to the show for its local premiere.

The musical opens Friday, June 7, and continues through June 29.

CMAC producer Kyle Lowe and I headed to Selma to get a sneak peek of the show. This 17-minute video story is featured in the next episode of “The Munro Review on CMAC,” but I wanted to be sure to get the segment posted early in honor of opening weekend. In it I interview director Ben Sells and dramaturg Renee Newlove. I also get to talk with Thomas Hayes and Adrian Ammsso, the two actors sharing the role of Frankie Valli. Enjoy!
