TMR giveaway: Win a pair of tickets to Lively Arts’ ‘Wickedly Red’ and the Lund Foundation’s ‘Scotch, Brew and Art Affair’

By Donald Munro

I‘m giving away tickets to two wonderful  sounding events this weekend.

You (and a friend) could go for free to:

• The Lively Arts Foundation’s performance of  “Wickedly Red,” an original ballet themed toward the Halloween season. It performs for one night only (7:30 p.m. Friday, Oct. 17, at the Tower Theatre). Plus, there’s a costume contest! Tickets are $28-$45. I’m giving away two pairs of tickets. Here’s a description:

• The 10th annual “A Scotch, Brew and Art Affair” (4-8 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 19, Mad Duck at Campus Pointe), benefitting Fresno State visual arts students, This event is in memory of Edward Lund, a beloved member of the Fresno arts community. Tickets are $xx. I’m giving away three pairs of tickets. Here’s a description:

Guests will enjoy a vibrant exhibition and silent auction featuring works from acclaimed local artists, generous donors, and our very own Lund Scholars, whose journeys to London are made possible by your support.

The Mad Duck’s Alex Costa will once again guide the “potation-curious” through an exploration of fine Scotch and bold craft brews. The evening is set to music with the return of Benjamin Boone and his exceptional jazz ensemble, joined this year by special guest William Ray Moore of Postmodern Jukebox—an unforgettable soundtrack to a night of generosity and celebration.

STORY CONTINUES AFTER SPONSORED CONTENT

Meanwhile, the Mad Duck culinary team will serve a feast of savory bites and creative pairings designed to delight, ensuring the evening is as flavorful as it is inspiring.

All profits go towards Study Abroad Scholarships and other awards for students of the arts at Fresno State.

I’m putting the giveaways into one post to make it easier for busy arts lovers to enter.

Ticket giveaways are open to members, donors and individual sponsors of The Munro Review. A free basic membership is available, and paid memberships start at $5 a month. (You can always opt for a one-time donation of as little as $3.) I love signing up new free members, but even better is adding members who are willing to financially support local arts journalism. It’s the only way this site can continue to stay alive. Memberships and donations are tax-deductible; this is a non-profit site under the fiscal sponsorship of the Community Media Access Collaborative (CMAC). To become a member, click here.

To enter, leave a comment on this post telling what show/event you’d like to see. You can enter for both shows if you’d like.

Deadline to enter is 3 p.m. Thursday, October. 16. I’ll be notifying winners by email, so be sure to check yours that day.
