TMR giveaway: Win a pair of tickets to Children’s Musical Theaterworks’ musical version of ‘Shrek’
It’s opening weekend for the big, bright production of “Shrek: The Musical” at Children’s Musical Theaterworks. (You can catch performances at 2 and 7:30 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 6, and 2 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 7, at the Fresno Veterans Memorial Auditorium.) Here at The Munro Review, we have an ogre-whelming giveaway for you:
You can win a pair of tickets to any of the production’s second-weekend performances when the show picks up its run from Dec. 12-14. Plus: If you’re a TMR winner, immediately after the performance you’ll get the opportunity to join Shrek (played by veteran performer Randy Kohlruss, who is not green in real life both in terms of pigmentation and his experience level in theater) for a photo opportunity.
Think about it: You could use the photo for your Christmas card and become the hit of the mailbox.
To enter, leave a comment on this post telling us which second-weekend performance you’d like to see (Friday evening, Saturday matinee, Saturday evening or Sunday matinee).
Ticket giveaways are open to members, donors and individual sponsors of The Munro Review. A free basic membership is available, and paid memberships start at $5 a month. (You can always opt for a one-time donation of as little as $3.) I love signing up new free members, but even better is adding members who are willing to financially support local arts journalism. It’s the only way this site can continue to stay alive. Memberships and donations are tax-deductible; this is a non-profit site under the fiscal sponsorship of the Community Media Access Collaborative (CMAC). To become a member, click here.
To enter, leave a comment on this post telling what show/event you’d like to see. You can enter for both shows if you’d like.
Deadline to enter is 10 a.m. Wednesday, 10. I’ll be notifying winners by email, so be sure to check yours that day.
.The Munro Review has no paywall but is financially supported by readers who believe in its non-profit mission of bringing professional arts journalism to the central San Joaquin Valley. You can help by signing up for a monthly recurring paid membership or make a one-time donation of as little as $3. All memberships and donations are tax-deductible.

The last time I saw SHREK was when I took my granddaughter to Roger Rocka’s production and enjoyed the talented Heather Glosier’s performance as the lovely Princess Fiona. That granddaughter is now in college, and I realized upon reading your article that her twelve-year-old sister has never enjoyed a live performance of SHREK. What a delight it would be to attend the December 14 matinee with her.
Thank you for your consideration and your contribution to the arts.
