to 'Rocky Horror'
at Selma Arts Center

You can win two tickets to the big Halloween Party edition of “The Rocky Horror Show” at the Selma Arts Center (doors open 9:30 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 27). Entrants must be 18 years or older. The contest is open only to members, donors and individual sponsors of The Munro Review. Tax-deductible memberships start at $5 a month, and you can make a one-time donation of as little as $3. (Paid memberships help keep the site running, and paid members get special members-only benefits. Please consider a paid membership in support of  independent, local arts journalism.) A free membership option is available. For details on how to join, go to the Membership and Sponsorship page. No purchase, donation or membership is necessary to enter the ticket giveaway.

To enter this giveaway, leave a reply on this post below answering this question: What was your “Rocky” first-time? (Or if you’re a “Rocky” virgin, you can share that, too.) Deadline to enter is 5 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 14. The winner will be picked at random and notified by email.

UPDATE: Congratulations to winner Jennifer Money.

My first Rocky Horror show was at Severance in 2012. I was crushing on my now husband and was taken by his gold, hot shorts costume. Fond memories!

I saw it live the last time one of the theaters around the tower district did it. But my Hisband is a Rocky Virgin

My first time was high school. A friend of mine was (and still is) completely obsessed with Tim Curry and RHPS. I had never seen it so she loaned me her copy and I’ve been in love ever since! I probably have pictures of the two of us re-enacting Frank’s entrance.

I have only seen the movie once—at a friend’s house when I was about 13. I consider myself a “live” Rocky Horror virgin, however.

The first time for me was 1970 something, 1130 PM at the old theater on Blackstone, next door to where Whities Pet store is now. It was the cool thing to do. 🤣🤣🤣🤣

I’ve never seen this show, but I love the Munro Review and enjoy reading all about the exciting venues we have to experience in our Valley. I miss your reviews in the Fresno Bee too Mr. Munro, but at least we have your comments on this post. Thanks!
