Win tickets
to Tigran Hamasyan
at Keyboard Concerts
You can win two tickets to a special Keyboard Concerts event featuring jazz pianist Tigran Hamasyan (8 p.m. Friday, Oct. 19, Fresno State Concert Hall). He fuses potent jazz improvisation with the rich folkloric heritage of Armenia. The concert is part of the World Music Series sponsored by Philip Lorenz International Keyboard Concerts and the Fresno State Armenian Studies Program. The contest is open only to members, donors and individual sponsors of The Munro Review. Tax-deductible memberships start at $5 a month, and you can make a one-time donation of as little as $3. (Paid memberships help keep the site running, and paid members get special members-only benefits. Please consider a paid membership in support of independent, local arts journalism.) A free membership option is available. For details on how to join, go to the Membership and Sponsorship page. No purchase, donation or membership is necessary to enter the ticket giveaway.
To enter this giveaway, leave a reply on this post below answering this question: Have you ever heard a jazz pianist in a concert hall? (Or you can just tell us why you’d like to win.) Deadline to enter is 4 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 17. The winner will be picked at random and notified by email.

I believe in crossover programs involving jazz and straight musicians. They crosspollinate each other, a la Brubeck and others.
