Sunday pick: Moment Musical closes season with works by Czerny, Kuhlau, Helsted and W.F.E. Bach (June 2)

Moment Musical

Jeffrey Sandersier is one of the musicians at Sunday’s concert.

The classical music season has slowed WAY down with the advent of June, but you still have a chance at chamber music before summer takes hold. Moment Musical, one of Fresno’s premier ensembles, offers its final concert of the season at 3 p.m. Sunday, June 2, with performances of W.F.E. Bach’s Andante in A minor and Carl Czerny’s Fantasie in F minor, op. 226, both for Piano Four-Hands.

Friedrich Kuhlau’s Rondo from Grande Sonata Concertante in A Minor, op. 85 for Flute and Piano will follow, along with Gustav Helsted’s Decet in D Major, op.18 (for String Quintet and Woodwind Quintet).

There will be a reception following the concert. The suggested donation at the door is $10 a person, $20 for family of 3 or more, and $5 for students with I.D.
