Win a pair of tickets to ‘A Scotch, Brew & Art Affair’

Edward O. Lund was a curator, preparator and cyclist who lived life to the fullest.
You can win a pair of tickets to a special fundraising event inspired by the memory of Edward O. Lund, a beloved member of Fresno’s art and cycling scene. “A Scotch, Brew & Art Affair” will be held 4-7 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 20, at The Mad Duck at Campus Pointe. Tickets are regularly $40 each for this upscale affair, at which “an abundance of savory bites and bevvies will be served,” while the Mad Duck’s Alex Costa leads the potation-curious through an exploration of the many articulations of whiskey out there, according to organizers. Events include a silent art auction and entertainment from Benjamin Boone and friends. All proceeds go to fund scholarships for art students at Fresno State. You must be 21 to enter.
The contest is open only to members, donors and individual sponsors of The Munro Review. Tax-deductible memberships start at $5 a month, and you can make a one-time donation of as little as $3. (Paid memberships help keep the site running, and paid members get special members-only benefits. Please consider a paid membership in support of independent, local arts journalism.) A free membership option is available. For details on how to join, go to the Membership and Sponsorship page. No purchase, donation or membership is necessary to enter the ticket giveaway.
To enter this giveaway, leave a reply on this post (see below) answering this question: Which do you prefer: Scotch, beer or sparkling water? (Or, if you’re too shy to discuss your libation preferences, just tell us why you’d like to go.) Deadline to enter is 5 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 16. The winner will be picked at random and notified by email.
The Munro Review has no paywall but is financially supported by readers who believe in its non-profit mission of bringing professional arts journalism to the central San Joaquin Valley. You can help by signing up for a monthly recurring paid membership or make a one-time donation of as little as $3. All memberships and donations are tax-deductible.

It was always such a delight when I got a chance to work with Ed. This is such a lovely way to honor him, and I’d be proud to raise a glass (of beer) in his honor

Well, the Facebook algorithm didn’t let me know about this until well after 5pm. However, I prefer beer aged in scotch barrels – so both beer and scotch.
