Thursday pick: Fresno City College is Toasting the Arts

A free digital offering tonight (7 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 3) could be a welcome pandemic programming option for you: Fresno City College has retooled its annual fundraiser “Toasting the Arts” as a virtual production. The event features a variety of entertainment from FCC students and faculty. And unlike years past, which included a fancy dinner in the courtyard of the Fresno City College Old Administration Building, this evening is bring your own snacks and is free.

(I have a flashback to the last Toasting the Arts evening I attended. What I remember most was freezing, even though it was held several months earlier. It’ll be nice to watch this one, at least, from a comfy couch.)

You can grab your free tickets now on Eventbrite.

Don’t forget, however, that Toasting the Arts is a fundraiser for the college’s arts programs and students, and donations are greatly appreciated. You can make your contribution here.

Also, for all you optimists out there, you can mark your calendars: The next installment of Toasting the Arts will be Oct. 16, 2021.
