Win tickets to Fresno Master Chorale’s performance of Mozart’s ‘Requiem’

Most Fresno-area arts organizations have already celebrated a complete return from Life With Covid. But the Fresno Master Chorale still hasn’t had a full complement of singers performing in the same room — until now.

On Sunday, April 3, the chorale — under the direction of Anna Hamre, who has been waiting for this moment a long time — returns in all its fully-voiced glory after a two and a half year absence. The ensemble performs Mozart’s iconic ‘Requiem’ Mass.

And you can win a pair of tickets to the 2:30 p.m. event at Shaghoian Hall.

The contest is open to members, donors and individual sponsors of The Munro Review.

Tax-deductible memberships start at $5 a month, and you can make a one-time donation of as little as $3. (Paid memberships help keep the site running, and paid members get special members-only benefits. Please consider a paid membership in support of independent, local arts journalism.) A free membership option is available.

For details on how to join, go to the Membership and Sponsorship page. No purchase, donation or membership is necessary to enter the ticket giveaway.

To enter the giveaway, leave a reply on this post answering this question: What have you missed most about the Fresno Master Chorale’s absence? (Or, if you’d prefer, just tell me why you want to see the show.) Leave your entry in the comment field below. Deadline to enter is 9 a.m. Friday, April 1. The winner will be picked at random and notified by email.

I feel the Requiem was one of Mozart’s best works and would enjoy seeing it performed by a local group.

It’s been a very long time since last hearing the magic of the Fresno Master Chorale. I would be honored to go to their very first production post covid! (Not to mention that ‘Requiem’ is one of my favorite choral pieces!)
