Looking for a fun, free evening of band music? You’re in luck tonight:

The concert: “Summer Band at the Shaghoian,” 7 p.m. Monday, July 23, Shaghoian Hall (in the Clovis North performing arts center, 2770 E. International Ave., Fresno). Admission is free.


The ensemble: It’s made up of is made up of about 100 local high school, college, and community musicians. “The program provides an opportunity for musicians to keep playing their instruments over the summer since all of our local band programs take summers off,” conductor and founder Christine Keenan says. “We rehearse and perform in the Shaghoian Concert Hall and use the technical capabilities of the hall to put on a spectacular show with lighting and video.”
