Win a four-pack of tickets to ‘Les Miz’ at Children’s Musical Theaterworks

You can win a four-pack of tickets to the new Children’s Musical Theaterworks production of “Les Miserables: The School Edition.”

The show opens Friday, July 15, and runs through July 24.

If you’ve never been to a CMT production, please realize this is no slapped-together production. It’s fully staged and costumed. The cast is drawn from some of the best young talent in the central San Joaquin Valley. I’ve already told you about Zelia Ankrum, currently starring in the Disney series “Ultra Violet and Black Scorpion,” who is starring as Cosette in the CMT production of “Les Miz.” (I hope to track down Emily Swalef, who is also playing Cosette at half of the performances, for an interview — the role is double-cast.)

The contest is open to members, donors and individual sponsors of The Munro Review.

Tax-deductible memberships start at $5 a month, and you can make a one-time donation of as little as $3. (Paid memberships help keep the site running, and paid members get special members-only benefits. Please consider a paid membership in support of independent, local arts journalism.) A free membership option is available.

For details on how to join, go to the Membership and Sponsorship page. No purchase, donation or membership is necessary to enter the ticket giveaway.

(Or, if you’d prefer, just tell me why you want to win the tickets.) Leave your entry in the comment field below. Deadline to enter is 10 a.m. Thursday, July 14. I’ll pick the winner at random and notify by email.

I have NOT done that – I haven’t the range for it, plus all I can think of now is the extreme close-up on bald Anne Hathaway.

However I HAVE sung along to SNL’s “Lobster Number One” John Mullaney penned parody. It’s brilliant.

I love musicals but when I played les mez soundtrack, My family fell in love with them too. My husband who works in wearhousing would play on repeat the soundtrack of Les Mez during work he loved it so much. We are big fans and it’s definitely now on our play list ever week for our road trips. Going together would only strengthen our love for Les Mez that much more.

I have not sang “ I Dreamed A Dream “ with headphones on. I would love to bring my grandsons to see the production. Maybe they will be the ones to sing.

Oh what have I been missing on! No, I have not had the moment to enjoy on full blast “I Dream A Dream” but that has not stopped the passion that I have for the musical. I can still remember the first time this musical was introduced to me in high school and first thoughts, “Is that Anne Hathaway?”
