Weekend pick: Fresno State student art exhibition lets you stay in the car

Fresno StateWould you like fries with that? Fresno State’s art department is taking the drive-thru approach with its new grad-student exhibition.

Fresno State professor Ed Gillum writes:

Please visit the Graduate Art Studios at M Street beginning tomorrow, Saturday, May 1, through Wednesday, May 5. You can even stay in your car!

“Isolation” is a graduate group show curated by me and the students enrolled in Art 240 – Graduate Studio Seminar. This exhibit will also feature work by guest artist, Diran Lyons.

The “Drive By” show will be arranged for all to take a look at the work in a window display at the Fresno State Art and Design Graduate Art Studios Gallery at 1419 M Street in downtown Fresno. Please drive by anytime and take a look.

This is a great idea. A tip of the hat to Fresno State’s art department for making things work during the pandemic.
