Win tickets to Yefim Bronfman with Keyboard Concerts

After Yefim Bronfman performs with the Philip Lorenz International Keyboard Concerts series on Sunday, consider where he will go in the days and weeks that follow:

The Walt Disney Concert Hall to perform with the Los Angeles Philharmonic. Carnegie Hall in New York. The famed Concertgebouw in Amsterdam.

That’s pretty good company for the Fresno State Concert Hall.

Bronfman is one of the leading pianists in the world, and a lucky member of The Munro Review will win a pair of tickets to his Fresno concert (3 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 30).

Andreas Werz, artistic director for the Keyboard series, is excited Bronfman is returning once again to perform. He considers the New York-based pianist as one of the Top 5 in the world.

“To think that he’s coming to Fresno along with all these other venues on this tour is amazing,” Werz says.

STORY CONTINUES AFTER SPONSORED CONTENT

Bronfman’s program is an interesting blend of the very well known and the little known. He will perform two sonatas by Beethoven and one by Chopin.

The fourth piece is a short, one-movement sonata by the woman Russian composer Galina Ustvolskaya, who died in 2006. She wrote her Sonata No. 4 in 1957.

I’m giving two pairs of tickets away. The contest is open to members, donors and individual sponsors of The Munro Review.

Tax-deductible memberships start at $5 a month, and you can make a one-time donation of as little as $3.
