As 2nd weekend of Sierra Art Trails approaches, what would you recommend?
What do you recommend for Sierra Art Trails?
This year’s Sierra Art Trails is a biggie: It’s the popular event’s 20th year (which is sort of shocking to consider for those who remember its first cries as a baby), and the lineup is huge.
The event — which is essentially an elaborate open house of artist studios and galleries throughout the foothills of Madera and Marisposa counties — opened Friday, Sept. 28. Now it’s gearing up for its second and final weekend. The art venues reopen for visitors on Friday, Saturday and Sunday (Oct. 6-8). While there are a few venues that are first- or second-weekend only, most are in it for both.
Here’s how it works: You buy a Sierra Art Trails official guide ($20), which acts as an admission ticket for two for wherever you’d like to visit. You can see some of my past coverage of the event here and here.
For this final weekend, I thought I’d ask my readers for tips from people who scoped out the possibilities during the first weekend.Just answer the questions below.
