Friday pick: There’s one more chance to see ‘S’will 24.’ And you can win free tickets.

The Rogue Festival wrapped up last weekend, and, once again, the “S’will” franchise managed to make a big, hilarious splash. So much so that The Fools Collaborative, the devious minds behind this annual bit of drunken Shakespeare, is offering an encore performance.

And it’s on the Ides of March, no less! (Which makes perfect sense because the play being spoofed this year is “Julius Caesar.”) Here’s my review, BTW.

I’m excited to be giving away two tickets to the performance (8 p.m. Friday, March 15, at the VISTA Theatre) to a member of The Munro Review. Plus, you’ll get an exclusive swag bag of “S’will” merchandise.

Here is a Fool (Miguel Gastelum) in a beautiful yellow hat giving you all the details:

To enter the giveaway, all you have to do is leave a comment on this post telling us what Shakespeare play you’d like the Fools to spoof next. Deadline to enter is midnight Thursday, March 14, so don’t dawdle.

If you don’t win, here’s what you need to know: Tickets are Pay-What-You-Can and are available here.

Ticket giveaways are open only to members, donors and individual sponsors of The Munro Review. A free basic membership is available, and paid memberships start at $5 a month. (You can always opt for a one-time donation of as little as $3.) I love signing up new free members, but even better is adding members who are willing to financially support local arts journalism. It’s the only way this site can continue to stay alive. Memberships and donations are tax-deductible; this is a non-profit site under the fiscal sponsorship of the Community Media Access Collaborative (CMAC). To become a member, click here.

I think a drunken King Lear would be deeply important to the entire arts community of Fresno!
